RSC Publishing launches new beta publications platform built by Rave Technologies

Rave has built a new integrated online platform for RSC publishing (www.rsc.org/publishingbeta), allowing over 500,000 journal articles, book chapters and database records to be searched through one simple interface.

Mumbai, India, March 9^th, 2010 — Rave Technologies, a leading provider of Outsourced Product Development for Independent Software Vendors, today announced that global publisher RSC Publishing has launched a new integrated content delivery platform built by Rave’s software development team.

RSC Publishing^beta is powered by MarkLogic Server, the industry’s leading XML content server, and provides a fully integrated web platform to deliver a rich set of chemistry content to users worldwide. Rave has worked closely with RSC to architect, design, develop and integrate the new content delivery platform into RSC’s existing technology infrastructure and enterprise applications. RSC Publishing will host their content locally and use the Rave suite of administration tools to manage the online content delivery operation, giving RSC full control of their content delivery platform.

• Quick access and consistent navigation irrespective of the content type – journals, books or databases.
• Librarians’ portal for managing subscriptions, obtaining usage reports and federated access.
